I will put up a few outfits every week (or do them all at once if I get lazy...).
With the outfits, I will post where I got them and how much. (The items from Goodwill I will see if I can find their original source/cost). I've been trying to not spend a lot of money on my clothes just because I see no point in spending a lot of money... makes sense right?
I should get a  post up today, but I have to wait for the wash to get done :)

Holiness to the Lord, House of the Lord

I had the beautiful opportunity to go through the temple tonight and receive my endowments! It was really great. Throughout the whole thing I felt a wholeness/completeness that I didn't even know I was missing! That, and the love my Heavenly Father has for me and peace.
I am so glad I was able to go, and that my parents came with me :)

Tonight was great.

Such a Lovely Soul Departed Today

I was very sad to hear the news this morning that our Prophet's dear wife died. Please keep President Monson and his family in your prayers. Even though he is super close to the Lord, he is still in pain.

Tracting with the Sisters

On Tuesday I went tracting with the cute Sister Missionaries in my home ward! It was actually kind of fun! (haha weird right?) Mostly I enjoyed spending some time with them and such but the actual knocking on doors and talking to people wasn't as bad as I figured it would be!

We met this really sweet man who had just taken his wife to a nursing home because she suffers from Dementia. We had a really great conversation with him about faith and how it can get you through everything. He contributed a lot to the conversation too! We left him with a prayer, and by the end of it he was crying. The spirit was so sweet.
Another lady we met was really excited that we knocked on her door and invited us to come back and talk to her! That was exciting too!

Really, going out with the sisters helped boost my desire to go out and serve.

Life is beautiful :)

Mission Clothes

I got my first few mission clothes today! I am so excited!

I ordered a dress & skirt from Shade and a skirt from eBay!
I will post what they look like later this week :)
I feel like this is really happening, but then again not.... haha it is super weird!

Anyways, have a lovely rest of your day and make sure your  moms have a fantastic Mother's Day!

Welcome!

Well Hi!

This is the place where updates from my mission will be!
BUT I will also update about preparing in the 2 months before I leave!

I will be entering the Provo MTC July 10th, 2013. After (probably) a week and a half or so, I will head out to Birmingham, Alabama!

So, sit back and stay awhile!
